  3. I am kinda frustrated and was hoping if you could help me…. I tried your method of establishing PATH for mongodb to run from my terminal. but i think it looses context with node.js because npm uses the same PATH variable. I have been trying to figure this out EVERYWHERE but I cannot seem to get it working. I have a pc btw… help!!

  7. for easier technique not to type a long path in cmd is that open the bin via your windows file explorer when you're in the bin folder click the address bar on the top and type cmd then enter.

  10. i am getting the problem at the time of running "mongod". The error popup is " api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem " . But when i am reinstalling also it's showing again same error only. can you help me anyone?

  11. under windows10 I had to use "path" instead of "PATH" as a variable-name

  14. when i try run 'mongod' cmd, it is showing me a system error.. "The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.ddl is missing, try to reinstall". I tried reinstalling couple of times but it is showing me same error. please try to help me !

  17. You definitely do not want to follow this method if you have multiple 'PATH' strings already in place. Append to the end and don't forget the trailing ';'

  29. If someone is facing problem like : exception in initAndListen: 28663 Cannot start server. The default storage engine 'wiredTiger' is not available with this build of mongod. Please specify a different storage engine explicitly.

    Sol. : just add –storageEngine=mmapv1 at the end while setting up dbpath
    i.e. ( ..mongod.exe –dbpath C:datadb –storageEngine=mmapv1 )
