Install Dev C++ and OpenGL on Windows 8 or Windows 10 right now for free

These steps will install the free compiler Dev c++ and the free graphics library OpenGL on Windows 8 or 10 64 bit OS.
If you have 32bit Windows 7, I believe you add the glut32.dll to the system32 folder.

link 2 glutming:

-lglu32 -lglut32 -lopengl32

  14. Great job, but I believe there may be problems with your commands to the linker/compiler in the Dev-cpp IDE. You have -l commands, which are linker commands, but you gave them as commands when calling the compiler. I believe you should be giving these to the linker commands, down below the compiler commands(in the compiler options). It only worked for my larger, multi-file project when I gave these as commands when calling the linker: -static-libstdc++ -static-libgcc -lopengl32 -lglu32 -lglut32 According to other tutorials, these files need to put in this order for some reason(library dependencies). Here is a link to the order in which those should be called: After I changed the commands to the linker as I explained before, it worked smoothly for me, otherwise the glut functions were undefined and I received similar messages that other commenters here got. Anyway, great job, and thank you very much!

  15. dude can you type me the OGL code like how i should write it coz i get many errs during lunching

  16. Salutations and stuff~ I've been having a problem with programs using OpenGL ever since I've had my PC, and have not discovered anyone with a similar situation.

All programs using OpenGL do not crash on startup, as is normal. However, no more than one frame of animation will be rendered. The programs will continue to receive my inputs and respond as if nothing is wrong, but the visuals are perpetually frozen.

Strangely, dragging the window and releasing causes the display window to update it's status properly, but only for that one frame. This can be done multiple times, but does not make the programs update each and every frame like they should be.

Any other information necessary I should be able to provide.
